Mark Benmoise serves as the President & CEO at Tyler Lake Consulting. In this role, he works closely with clients across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Mark’s client base includes development stage, private equity-backed, and publicly traded blue-chip companies. Mark is a cancer survivor with a passion for innovative science that changes the lives of patients. He believes that at the forefront of all innovation are great people. 

Previous Experience

Before founding Tyler Lake Consulting, Mark was a Principal at ZRG Partners within their Life Sciences division. He worked across multiple functions, spending a large part of his time helping to scale early-stage biotech companies. In his previous role, he led executive search for North America as a Client Partner with a boutique search firm focused on life sciences. He was also a Managing Consultant, Life Sciences at Korn Ferry. During this time, he built key relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech executives worldwide. In addition, he worked closely with the advisory and consultancy division to guide his clients on a variety of key inflection points for their businesses. Earlier in his career, he served as Manager for the R&D search practice at a top boutique life science retained executive search firm.

Ronen Brainin is the Head of Finance Recruitment – AML, Regulatory Compliance, and Internal Audit at Tyler Lake Consulting. He partners with clients across the finance and fintech sectors, from innovative early-stage and private equity-backed fintech firms to established Fortune 500 financial institutions. With over 13 years of expertise, Ronen excels in financial crimes, guiding major institutions in developing AML-QA frameworks, implementing oversight initiatives, and performing effectiveness testing. A dynamic leader, he has enhanced core compliance teams and is committed to mitigating regulatory risk. Ronen firmly believes that top-notch financial crime controls are built on the foundation of talented, mission-driven individuals.

Previous Experience

Before joining Tyler Lake Consulting, Ronen Brainin served as the Associate Director of AML Due Diligence Canada Quality Assurance at RBC, where he led regulatory oversight testing for AML and financial crime controls within their Investor Services division. His extensive experience includes key roles in Internal Audit for RBC’s financial crimes division, risk advisory consulting with IBM, and AML and fraud operations at leading financial institutions across Canada.

Ronen was recognized as a process champion and QA leader, consistently enhancing the core business compliance SOPs of financial intelligence units. He strengthened operations by developing strategic AML-QA audit initiatives, creating FINTRAC and OCC self-assessment workbooks, and conducting comprehensive testing across AML case systems, oversight protocols, client risk rating models, transaction monitoring schemes, and triage/investigation sampling.

During this time, Ronen built strong relationships with first, second, and third lines of defense within financial services risk and advisory teams. He has successfully led teams in AML quality assurance, supported global regulatory audits, and possesses deep expertise in hiring and scaling within the financial crimes domain.
